Opening day of the fishing may have been delayed due to Covid-19, but when club members finally got to the water the day started with a splash. when the right fly and techniques had been found fish started to come to the landing nets aplenty. One member Andrew Rawcliffe finished his session on 27 fish including 6 Browns 1 1/2 Lbs, Rainbows to 2 1/2 Lbs.
He was not the only one. Other anglers reported landing and releasing catches of ten plus fish one into the high teens. All fish were reported to fight well above their weight and all fish were landed and returned safely with the uses of a landing Net.
